Highlands School serves bright K-8th grade students with dyslexia, language-based learning differences and ADHD in a welcoming and nurturing environment.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree for all teaching positions. A High School diploma is required for teacher assistant positions. Training will be provided for all substitute positions. Extensive training will be given for small group instructors after a probationary period.

The Highlands School is seeking a Chief Development Officer with a passion for children’s literacy and leadership in fostering a culture of philanthropic support to secure the future of our students and enhance the quality of our community.
The Chief Development Officer is responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropic support and fund development in keeping with the mission and philosophy of the School, engaging in direct cultivation and stewardship of major prospects, including individuals, corporations and foundations, identifying partnering opportunities and establishing strong community relationships. The Chief Development Officer works in a school leadership role with the Board of Directors and an office advancement team to coordinate annual giving, special campaigns and planned giving, event and fund development activities, marketing and collaboration in long-range strategic planning.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, leadership experience in fundraising and community building with a flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, ability to read and understand financial statements, exceptionally strong communication skills (both written and oral), strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in people, ability to manage projects and work within deadlines.
